How PDF Editor Pro handles your data: what is collected, what is never uploaded, how payments work, and how to request deletion.

Summary

PDF Editor Pro edits documents in your browser. The document you open is processed on your own device and is not uploaded to our servers.

This policy explains what information we do collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

We deliberately collect as little as possible. In practice that means:

  • Account details — if you choose to create an account, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your plaintext password.
  • Subscription records — which plan you bought, when, how much, and the payment reference from our payment processor.
  • Usage counters — how many edits you have made, used to apply the free daily allowance.
  • Technical logs — standard server request logs containing IP address, timestamp and requested URL, retained briefly for security and fault diagnosis.

What we do not collect

We do not upload, store, read or transmit your PDF files. Editing happens locally in your browser, and the file you export is saved directly to your device.

We do not collect payment card details. Card information is entered on the payment processor’s own secure page and never reaches our servers.

How your data is used

We use the information above for these purposes:

  • To operate your account and subscription.
  • To process payments and provide receipts.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To detect and prevent abuse of the service.

Cookies

We set one cookie, a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is marked HttpOnly so scripts cannot read it, Secure so it is only sent over HTTPS, and SameSite=Lax so it is not sent from other sites.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card or bank details are entered on Razorpay’s secure payment page; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and a payment reference.

Data retention

Account and subscription records are kept for as long as your account exists, and are deleted when you ask us to delete your account.

Server logs are retained for a short period and then discarded.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details on the Contact page and we will respond.

Security

Passwords are hashed using a modern password hashing algorithm (Argon2id) and are never stored in readable form. Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
